“I don’t know if I should do this right now. Maybe I can get the offer by myself? Maybe I can get the return offer too?”

Do you know how good you need to be to get the summer offer and return offer?

You need to be at the top 2% (it’s actually less than 2 in most cases) to land your Summer Analyst offers.

And you will need to be at the top 30% among the less-than top 2% in order to receive a return offer , which means the odds are 0.6%.

Are you sure that is the current you who can be among them despite the odds of facing those from target school and with secret referrals who are almost perfect in everything?

And when you failed to obtain your return offer (if you are good enough to secure a summer offer now), you can still come to us but your opportunities are far less and you have lost 1 year from the starting line (consider you peers are kickstarting their Analyst position when you are doing your second penultimate-year summer internship because you failed to land a return offer…)
